Miao Song Festival kicks off

Recently, the grand “Liuyueliu” Miao Song Festival was held in Heku Town and Luochaojing Town of Fenghuang County, Xiangxi Prefecture, Hunan Province. Tens of thousands of Miao people from the border area between Hunan and Guizhou, as well as tourists, gathered together to enjoy the original folk culture.

At the opening ceremony, the Miao compatriots dressed in ethnic costumes presented a fashion show, and traditional folk performances such as Miao drums, lion dances, and suona (a traditional Chinese wind instrument). In addition to the artistic performances, a long-table banquet was held on site, elevating the atmosphere of the event. This allowed the masses and tourists to enjoy the authentic Miao cuisine and immerse themselves in the charm of Miao culture.

The “Liuyueliu” Miao Song Festival in Fenghuang County aims to promote the fine ethnic culture by building platforms for cultural integration, openness, vitality, and development.

It serves as a continuation of the second Xiangxi Tourism Development Conference, showcasing the colorful folk culture, further enhancing the reputation of Mysterious Xiangxi as a tourism destination, and promoting rural revitalization.
